After much planning, and more than twelve months searching for the right person to lead ultra106.5fm into the future, Nathaniel Garvin has handed over the leadership of ultra106.5fm to the station’s new incoming CEO, Peter Krause.
Peter is a Tasmanian by birth, and is returning to this beautiful state after more than twenty years on the mainland, most recently in Queensland, where he was manager of the Sunshine Coast’s Christian Radio Station, 106.5fm. He has owned his own businesses in the past and worked in senior management roles running other businesses, all of which have given him a strong grounding in operations, sales, finance and people management.
In the new role Peter assumes responsibility for Ultra 106.5fm as well as Launceston’s WAY FM, with the aim of sharing resources, and strengthening the financial position of both stations in order to maximise growth potential across the state.
Nathaniel will still be around, although less visibly. He has accepted a position serving on the ultra106.5fm board, where his knowledge and experience will be greatly valued, plus he’ll fill in while other announcers are away on Holidays. You’ll still see him around Hobart as well, as he has launched a new consulting business, helping NGOs and not-for-profits maximise their potential.
Welcome, Peter; and thank you Nathaniel for the incredible leadership you’ve brought to the station these past ten years, for your creativity, vision, and ability to think outside the box. We wish you and your family all the best in your new direction.
