Blundstone Arena will host the first of three Commonwealth Bank Test matches between Australia and the West Indies this summer (10-14 December), after the further developed venue further enhanced its international cricket credentials, successfully hosting three pool matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Cricket Tasmania’s David Johnston tells David Wood it will be the first time Test cricket has been played in Hobart since December 2012 when Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 137 runs and is just the second time the city has hosted the West Indies in a Test match.
“The last Test match at Blundstone Arena was in 2012 and GA ticket prices are 33% lower on average across the board compared to the 2012 prices.
“Reserved seating is also less than what it was in 2012 and families can enjoy an affordable and comfortable day at the cricket,
he added Cricket Australia is committed to staging matches in Hobart, but it’s a competitive market so we have to show that there is demand for it,

Tickets can be purchased at Blundstone Arena, Brooke St Pier and Theatre Royal during business hours, via Ticketek at ticketek.com.au or on 132 849. Booking fees apply.
