Walk for Water

Did you know that the average Australian uses an astonishing 282 litres of water/day*? However the average person in the developing world uses about 10 litres/day**. That’s about what we use just to flush the toilet!

Another terrible fact is that 884 million people will not have access to safe drinking water today *.

These frightening statistics are difficult to get our heads around. Not only are we blessed with adequate rainfall, but most likely you have easy access to safe water.

ultra106five plans to make a difference to these alarming facts and we’d love you to join us!

ultra106five’s Walk for Water will be held on Saturday March 17. This 4km walk will take place at the Risdon Brook Dam and participants will have the opportunity to raise funds by being sponsored for the walk. Money raised will be given to the Turn on the Tap campaign, run by Samaritan’s Purse.

To take part in ultra106five’s Walk for Water fill in your registration details by clicking here. You can register as an individual, or as part of a team.
For those who can’t walk on the day but would like to help, we have bottle labels available to attach to standard 600ml water bottles. You can then easily collect $2 coins, a full bottle buys six water filters!

For bottle labels or any further queries about the walk, give us a call during office hours on 6234 5900.
It should be a great day!
